Privacy Policy

Last updated: August 2026

This policy explains how Alston Analytics LLC processes personal data when you visit this website or contact us, in accordance with the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).

1. Controller

Alston Analytics LLC, represented by Will Alston (Founder), Berlin, Germany. Contact: will@alstonanalytics.com. Full postal details are in the Impressum.

2. What we process, and why

Server logs. When you visit the site, our hosting provider processes technical data (IP address, timestamp, requested page, browser type) to deliver the site securely and detect abuse. Legal basis: Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR, our legitimate interest in operating a secure website. Logs are retained by the hosting provider for a maximum of 30 days.

Contact form and email. If you write to us, we process the details you provide (name, email address, company, message) to respond to your enquiry. Legal basis: Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR where your enquiry concerns a potential engagement, otherwise Art. 6(1)(f). Enquiry correspondence is retained for 24 months after the conversation ends, then deleted, unless an engagement follows (in which case records are kept as required by commercial and tax law).

Scheduling. If we offer and you choose to use an online scheduling tool, it loads only after you actively open it, and processes the details you enter to book the call. Legal basis: Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR.

Analytics. This website does not use analytics tools and sets no analytics cookies. No advertising or tracking cookies are used anywhere on the site.

3. Processors and recipients

  • Vercel Inc. (USA), for website hosting and content delivery.
  • Resend (USA), for delivery of contact-form messages to our mailbox.
  • Cal.com, Inc., for call scheduling, only if you open the scheduler.

We do not sell personal data or share it for advertising.

4. International transfers

Our hosting and email providers process data in the United States. Transfers rely on the European Commission's adequacy decision for the EU–US Data Privacy Framework where the provider is certified, and otherwise on Standard Contractual Clauses (Art. 46(2)(c) GDPR).

5. Your rights

Under Articles 15 to 21 GDPR you have the right to:

  • access the personal data we hold about you (Art. 15),
  • have inaccurate data rectified (Art. 16),
  • have your data erased (Art. 17),
  • restrict processing (Art. 18),
  • receive your data in a portable format (Art. 20),
  • object to processing based on legitimate interest (Art. 21).

To exercise any of these rights, email will@alstonanalytics.com.
